Family Tour to Hobbiton

As direct tickets had sold out I was very fortunate to come across Cheeky Kiwi offering their tour which allowed my family to still get to Hobbiton and enjoy. Our family had a wonderful tour to Hobbiton with Brad as our guide. He educated us throughout the drive there and back, sharing interesting facts and stories that made the journey just as enjoyable as the destination. Brad was knowledgeable, engaging, and great with all of the passengers. The drive was well paced and very informative, and we all truly enjoyed the experience. A highlight of our trip—highly recommend Brad and the Team at Cheeky Kiwi. Would definitely book again for any New Zealand adventure!

Cheekykiwi travel delivered a great experience.

Fabulous tour that involved two parts. Simon with Cheekykiwi travel transported our group of travelers to the ‘Hobbiton Movie Set’ for a splendid tour. Simon provided history and information during the 2 hour drive and the bonus was a scenic drive off the highway to see a picturesque countryside. At the ‘Hobbiton movie set’, a different tour guide took a group of travelers a short ride to the ‘set’. From there a walking tour meandered along paths with commentary throughout. Highly recommended tour for any LOTR or Hobbit fan.

Excellent day!

Our driver, did an amazing job with the heavy rain navigating us safely to Hobbiton and back to Auckland. He commented on different sites along the way and provided water and snacks. This experience more than meets the expectations if not beyond as we are huge LOTR fans!!!

Hobbiton Movie Set

Both our driver and tour guide were friendly and knowledgeable. Well organized tour , would highly recommend it . Even a little liquid sunshine didn’t hamper our day.

Awesome experience!

Cheeky Kiwi driver Ark was very knowledgeable and friendly. The Hobbiton tour guide Yuna was super knowledgeable too, and gave us a detailed account and fun facts of the movie set. Highly recommended it!

Highly recommend Cheeky Kiwi for a seamless visit to Hobbiton

Vicky was a fabulous driver and guide. I went solo as there was only one ticket available and it was a great life- choice! The drive to Hobbiton was scenic and Vicky was a fountain of knowledge. Hobbiton itself was brilliant. Extremely well-run and Vicky made sure we were all ticketed up and knew where to find her at the end. Hobbiton was an amazing, immersive experience that I highly recommend to fans of the films.

Hobbiton Visit

We had a great time on this Hobbiton adventure. Our tour guide, Trent, was professional and knowledgeable on the drive, explaining all about the areas that we were driving through. The actual tour at Hobbiton, lead by Liam, was magnificent. Seeing all the homes that the hobbits lived in made the memory of watching the movies so much better, and so more real, knowing that it was an actual movie set left permanently for enthusiasts of the movies.

Whole experience

Thank you, Jayme for the excellent tour!

I was really lucky to get Jayme as my guide/driver! She's new to the Cheeky Kiwi team and did an excellent job. I loved all the interesting insights and stories she shared. It was also super valuable to hear and get a Maori perspective. She was prompt with the pickups, drove safe, and attentive to all of us (brought us umbrellas as soon as it started raining at a rest stop). The tour to Hobbiton was also well organized. It was nice to see that Cheeky Kiwi still had tickets available, since they're hard to come by.

I love it

Excelente Driver was super friendly abd always willing to help in any way The place was one of the greatest places I ever visited I highly recommended it to anyone who wanted to visit!
